TRADITION OF THE INFALLIBLES AS
Ihdina assirata almustaqeem
1:6 Steadfast us on the
straight way
It is narrated to Imam Ali
AS for the tafseer of this verse that “The meaning of the Sirat Al Mustaqeem is
the way in this world which borders with Ghulu that is to boost somebody more
than his position or understate somebody less than his position. And in Aqerat
(Hereafter) it is way which will lead the Momins to Heaven”.
In
the Book Mani ul Akhbaar it is narrated to Imam Jaffer Sadiq AS said that “The
way of knowing thy Lord is meant by Sirat al Mustaqeem. And there are two ways
to it one in this world and other hereafter. In this world it is that Imam
whose obedience is made obligatory. Thus whoever knows the Imam and follows Him
will eventually steadfast on the way hereafter (aqerat) that is a bridge which
will be built on Hell, and who do not know about the Imam in this world cannot
withstand the journey hereafter and eventually fall in the Hell. In another
tradition the meaning of the Sirat al Mustaqeem it has been said that “We (the
Imams AS) are meant by it”.
Note:-
Imams AS are meant by Sirat Al Mustaqeem and Alhamdulillah whoever have Imams
AS and the book of Allah in their hands supplicates “steadfast us on the
straight way” and whose way is like Seerate Shaykain that is Usulis supplicate
“Guide us to the straight path” They should know that the supplication of Adam
AS for 300 years without the mediation of the Imams AS was not accepted by the
Lord then how can their supplications without the taqleed (following) of Imams
AS be accepted.
