TRADITION OF THE INFALLIBLES AS
Ya
ayyuha allatheena amanoo la taqraboo assalata waantum sukara
4:43
O ye who believe! Approach not prayers with a slumbered mind, until ye can understand
all that ye say
Tafseer:-
In the book Tafseer Ayaasi when the meaning of this verse was asked to Imam
Jaffer Sadiq AS said “it is meant slumber of sleep and that is when you are
praying and if you do not understand the meaning of the recitations of Rukuh,
Sujud and Takbeer then do not pray at that time, and this is a wrong perception
of the people with regard to this as befogging
of mind (Nasha) and that is wrong. It is proved by the fact that it is narrated
to Imam Moosa Kazim AS “Before drinking becoming forbidden the befogging was
meant by it”.
